REEBOK AND GIGI HADID LAUNCH THE AZTREK DOUBLE COLLECTION
One of the craziest success stories of the 2018 shoe year was the Reebok Aztrek. Riding the wave of the “dad shoes”, the Aztrek was an original Christian Tresser design from the 90’s that still proves functional today (maybe not marathon level, but they are definitely flexible and comfortable). Enter Gigi Hadid.
The Aztrek Double features the same basic lines as the original with some added overlays and panels on the side. It features a mesh and suede/synthetic upper with the midsole still having Hexalite for cushioning inside a double-thick midsole and the semi-lug outsole for traction on-and-off road.
The clothing line is the key here, as the pieces are inspired by Gigi’s love for the sport of… VOLLEYBALL (now you know why I’m writing this piece). The warm-up tops and pants, along with the tees, are all stylish and functional and look serious. The really nice part? For a “designer” line, the pieces are all affordable, in line with most other brands: $35 for tees, around $60 for pants/leggings and $110 for the Aztrek Double.
